Keeping our church family informed and connected.
The Senior Companion Program offers free weekly support to adults 60 and older, helping them remain independent at home through friendly visits, light household help, errands, transportation (with some restrictions), and respite for caregivers.
The program is part of AmeriCorps Seniors, and all services are provided at no cost to the participant.
They are currently seeking volunteers age 55+ who have a heart for serving older adults. Volunteers receive training, a monthly stipend, mileage reimbursement, and liability insurance.

The monks of St. Gregory's Abbey will offer our daily prayers for St. Frances of Rome Parish on April 13th and St. Mark Parish, Pryor, on April 14th.
The monks offer these prayers as part of our celebration of the 150th anniversary of the beginning of the Mission to establish the Catholic Church in Oklahoma and the arrival of two Benedictine monks, the Founders of our Community. They arrived in Atoka on October 12, 1875.
We have promised to offer our prayers for each parish in Oklahoma, naming one parish each day. Our prayers include:
5:30 am Vigils (Office of Readings) -- 7:15 am Lauds (Morning Prayer) -- 8:15 am Mass (10:00 am on Sundays and Holydays) -- 12:00 Noon Sext (Midday Prayer) --
1:50 pm None (Afternoon Prayer) -- 5:00 pm Vespers (Evening Prayer) -- 7:15 pm Compline (Night Prayer)
We invite you to join us in prayer at these hours, even if in spirit, and know that God holds each person close in His Love, and that, because of our prayer, each of you will grow in holiness as you acknowledge the Lord in your life.
Prayer for Church in Oklahoma:
O God, you never cease to gather a people to yourself so that all nations might come to salvation through your Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord. We praise you for the gift of your Church in this land of Oklahoma,
first established by the Benedictine Monks 150 years ago.
We humbly ask that you send forth the divine gift of the Holy Spirit upon each parish and mission, its pastor and ministries, that, united in love, they will become ever more effective signs and instruments
of the saving presence of Christ in our world, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God, forever and ever. Amen.
Our parish is blessed to welcome Bishop Konderla for the Sacrament of Confirmation in July. This is a meaningful milestone for our candidates as they affirm their faith and commitment. We invite the parish to pray for them as they prepare for this joyful occasion.
